Nestled in Florida, Marco Island is a charming locale that offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty and luxury amenities. Its close proximity to Naples has earned it the nickname “Naples on the Gulf.” Many renowned designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Arthur Hills, and Robert Trent Jones have created their masterpiece golf courses along the sun-kissed shores of Marco Island. The area boasts more than 80 championship courses, which is more than any other place on earth, making it an exciting destination for golfers.

The unique location of Marco Island makes it stand out from other tourist destinations. Situated between the unspoiled wilderness of the Everglades and pristine white sand beaches, the island’s beaches are famous for their sparkling clear blue waters and soft, powdery sand, which make them ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or strolling.

During the summer months of June, July, and August, low temperatures stay in the 70s and high temperatures can get as high as 90 degrees. The island usually experiences afternoon showers that provide a refreshing and cooling effect, making the evenings more pleasant and relaxing. There are plenty of activities to do on the island, such as exploring the wildlife, enjoying the beautiful scenery, playing golf, and experiencing the island’s nightlife.

GOLF COURSE/S

Flamingo Island Course

Designed by one of golf’s most celebrated course architects and opened to the public in 1989, Flamingo Island is the criterion for a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course. Characterized by extensive sculpting and shaping, expanded greens, abundant water, and multiple teeing stations, the course features an unforgettable signature hole: a par 3, 200-yard Hole 5—a curved and rolling fairway entirely surrounded by shimmering azure water, with bunkers built along one side and two small bridges its only connection to the mainland. As one of Naples’ signature public golf courses, The Flamingo Island is a magical blend of strategic diversity and breathtaking natural beauty.

Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club

Enriching experiences are often unique because of where you are. With an emphasis on the beauty of the area's natural environment, the golf course at Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club is designed to provide an enjoyable challenge to all golfers, regardless of their level of play, while at the same time providing an opportunity to appreciate Mother Nature in all of her glory. The redesigned course features Platinum TE paspalum turfgrass, creating a more vibrant playability and overall golf experience.

Designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, Hammock Bay is a par 72 championship golf course with 18 individual and distinct holes.

Live oak tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain define the course while undulating terrain and Gulf of Mexico breezes come together to make Hammock Bay a challenge that's a favorite of our returning guests. The course greens' contours, shape, and orientation were designed with the approach shot in mind. The playing experience includes strategic and visually appealing bunkering, greens offering a variety of approach shot options and multiple tee options enabling increased playability for juniors, seniors, and beginners while offering a challenge to low handicappers and professionals.

Old Corkscrew Golf Club

The par-72 championship layout which opened in 2007 meets the highest design criteria. Since OCGC is not part of any real estate development, this course is a "core" or "stand-alone" extraordinary golf experience. The course design has been developed to mesh precisely with the outstanding natural assets - mature oak, pine and cypress trees and a natural flow way through the center of the property... adding up to one spectacular golf course.

The Rookery

Play your way through a golf course that both challenges and amazes. Revamped in 2002 by acclaimed golf course designer Robert Cupp, Jr. and redesigned in 2014 by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, The Rookery at Marco in Naples, Florida, blends a resort private course atmosphere with the stunning natural surroundings of Marco Island to create an entirely unique golf experience.

Meaning "bird sanctuary," The Rookery golf course is nestled in shallow wetlands in Naples, Florida, which attract many species of birds. Striking in both beauty and challenge, the surrounding lakes and ponds are home to abundant wildlife, including bald eagles, alligators, blue herons, and many other types of water birds. Playing here provides a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with nature. At more than 7,100 yards in length, the playing experience includes fast greens, pristine turf condition and the option to play from one of five teeing locations.

Saltleaf Golf Preserve

Between the hawks, osprey and deer and the lush native plantings everywhere you look, Saltleaf Golf Preserve brings a whole new meaning to “keep your eye on the ball.” Now open on the site of the former Raptor Bay Golf Club, our all new, daily fee destination course will continue a respectful co-existence with a 144-acre Florida uplands preserve. As well as adjacent Estero Bay, Florida’s very first aquatic preserve. All this quiet beauty comes with challenge and family fun too — thanks to the inspired design of legendary Raymond Floyd and exceptional Troon management.

Southwest Florida is already known for top-tier golf, but Saltleaf Golf Preserve is going to level up everyone’s game.

TPC Treviso Bay

TPC Treviso Bay boasts 18 holes of picturesque and is one of the best courses on the circuit, designed to test golfers’ skills at virtually any level.
